Mining

Mining & Metals Experience

For mining services, we are the result of the merger with Fraser & Lever, an Australian company with over 25 years of experience, specializing in the design and comprehensive execution of mining projects under engineering and EPCM schemes, with a proven track record in the successful development of projects for the processing and recovery of valuable polymetallic minerals worldwide.

Our solid experience in the technical–economic development of mining projects, applying design and management philosophies such as “fit for purpose,” lean design, and our own probed approaches, combined with in-house software and technological models to maximize results, enables us to deliver comprehensive technical–economic solutions that maximize the expected economic outcomes of the projects entrusted to us.

We are a recipient of experience that integrates strategy, design, construction, operations, sustainability, and finance. Applied in a continuous, collaborative, and interactive flow with our clients, from expert strategic conceptualization through to the identification and development of a solid business case. Our team ensures that every stage of the project lifecycle progresses with clarity, connection, and purpose.

Commodities

At ABCO, we design with the "full life of mine" in mind, from the very first strategic conceptualization to the final visualization of copper or other mineral extraction, all the way through to the ultimate closure of the reserve.

Our multidisciplinary teams identify the project’s key value drivers at each stage of the business development cycle, enhancing the factors that transform geological reserves into final products obtained efficiently and sustainably.

With decades of experience and the installed capacity of our team members, we have successfully collaborated and earned the trust to develop projects for major mining companies such as BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, Mitsubishi, Newmont, Newcrest, among others. This positions us as a trusted strategic partner for the development of their resources worldwide and allows us to contribute to driving the world’s transformation toward sustainability.

Process Technology

We understand extractive metallurgy as an act of transformation, turning raw minerals from the subsurface into resources that drive progress, enable the transition toward sustainability, and strengthen the reserves and wealth of our families and our country. Our approach and use of technology are designed not only to enhance the design phases but also to maximize the economic outcome of the value chain through strategies ranging from the simple to the complex, such as designing and optimizing process components, modularization, resizing necessary and unnecessary assets, ensuring the efficient use of key resources like process water, and minimizing the final waste generated by the process, among others.

Our expertise includes:
– Metallurgy applied to mineral processing.
– Metallurgy applied to recovery: hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, and electrometallurgy.
– Comminution, smelting & refining.
– Mineral processing: crushing, conveying, grinding & milling, flotation, and final tailings disposal.
– Mineral reprocessing and circular solutions.

Strategic Partners

At ABCO, we view the development of mining projects as a journey, accompanying our clients from the first idea to turning it into a fully operational and tangible asset. We see ourselves as a true partner in your business, committed, collaborative, and fully engaged, integrating the necessary resources to deliver a result of technical excellence, backed by robust financial viability, while meeting environmental and regulatory responsibilities to protect and preserve what we pass on to future generations.
